WHY USE AIR LIFT TABLES
- You can use your plant air supply and save on electrical installations.
- They are an economical alternative to hydraulic operations where precise multiple positioning is not a requirement.
- You avoid the potential of hydraulic spills.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Speed and capacity on air spring actuated lifts are affected by plant air psi (pounds per square inch of pressure) and cfm (cubic feet per minute or air volume flow). Plant air pressure is normally 100 psi while cfm is a function of your air compressor's capacity. Due to line losses, few workstations maintain a constant 100 psi.
Capacities on Advance models SAL, SALM, SALT and SAT are based on 80-100 psi at 15-20 cfm. Capacities on Advance models SL are based on 75 psi at 20 cfm.
AS A GENERAL RULE
- Fully loaded lifts raise in approximately 30 to 60 seconds.
- Empty lifts raise in approximately 10 to 20 seconds.
- Fully loaded lifts lower in approximately 5 to 30 seconds.
- Empty lifts lower in approximately 15 to 35 seconds.
- Increasing cfm will increase up speed.
- Increasing psi will increase capacity and/or up speed.
- Capacity and speed of a lift is a function of the air compressor, not the equipment.
- If an air lift is not fully raised or lowered and a load is removed from the unit, the unit will raise slightly as the air expands.
- If an air lift is not fully raised or lowered and a load is put on the unit, the unit will lower slightly as the air is compressed.
WHY BUY ADVANCE
For safety, Advance air lift tables are equipped with a pressure safety relief valve and a safety orifice speed control that regulates the units down speed should an air line rupture. Advance units are also equipped with safe and rugged air spring actuators rather than vinyl air bags.
- For reduced maintenance costs, pivot points and rollers are equipped with lifetime lubricated bearings that never need to be greased or oiled.
- For durability, these units have the same rugged, high quality structures used in Advance hydraulic production lifts with axles and pins made from 100,000 psi stressproof steel that is industrial hard chrome plated.
- For appearance and long life, the enamel paint finish is oven baked-on.
